On 17th and 18th June, heads of procurement and finance from internationally active companies will be gathering in Munich for the top-class purchasers’ summit, the “EPE 2010 – European Summit for CPOs and CFOs", in order to discuss new ways of creating more intensive cooperation. The close and tightly organised partnership between procurement and finance functions is essential for promoting the emerging economic upswing and reducing the consequences of the economic crisis. This year’s event will focus on the topic: “Cash Flow Up – Operational Costs Down – Financial Risks under Control!”. The Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik e.V. (BME) will be hosting the summit for the 5th time, while the patron of the two-day forum is Jean-Claude Trichet, President of the European Central Bank.
