SBMM - Supplier and Buyer Matchmaking Meetings in Shanghai and Beijing
Information for Buyers and Suppliers
Because of the increasing cost pressure and therefore rising procurement demands of German / European companies in China, the BME is going to launch a “Quality Sourcing Program” to support their sourcing activities. The program starts with 12 “Supplier and Buyer Matchmaking Meetings (SBMM)“ in the first half of 2009.
It is aimed at giving German / European companies the opportunity to detect high-quality suppliers from China, whereas Chinese suppliers thus are able to expand into German respectively European markets.
Principle
During each SBMM a direct contact between attendant buyers and suppliers, pre-selected by the BME according to the relevant demand, is established. Moreover correspondingly qualified suppliers have the possibility to leave the data required for the BMEQualitySourcing.com database and hence can become apparent also to so-called remote, non-attendant buyers. In addition plenum presentations take place, allowing an exchange of experience concerning recently arosen troubles between Chinese and German / European companies.
SBMM will especially benefit
1. small- or medium sized buyer and suppliers and
2. companies located far away from the information center.
