The BME (Assosiation materials management purchasing and logistics.) is the leading association for materials management, purchasing, and logistics in Europe and was founded in 1954. It has a total of 6,000 members, including 1,500 corporate members.
The BME members represent a cross-section of professionals from all industries and service sectors, including industry and commerce, banking, insurance, and public institutions. Members come from Germany’s fortune 200 companies as well as a number of larger SMEs and associations.
The BME’s primary objective is to offer its members know-how transfer in the fields of materials management, purchasing, and logistics. The BME also promotes the development of new methods, procedures, and methodologies and provides relevant implementation support. In addition, it actively helps its members enter and develop new markets across the globe.
