Compliance issues are increasingly getting in focus of the business community. In addition to highly regulated topics such as financial crimes or antitrust law, also social and environmental concerns get more and more important. And to secure their own reputation, measures are necessary, which strengthen the observance of commandments also for employees and business partners. With the Compliance Initiative the BME supports the establishment and development of an appropriate corporate culture - across industries and internationalized.
As a part of it, the BME has developed an industry-wide "Code of Conduct", which imposes the participating companies with fundamental rules. Because the supply chains have become more complex in the context of globalization and businesses increasingly be considered for their supply chain responsibility, the BME has also published specific standards to actively enforce the rules of conduct in supplier management.
