The BME has launched a new program in order to discover the sourcing potential of the Moroccan market. Thanks to continuously high growth rates, low inflation, very low labor costs, well-trained workers and the best infrastructure in Africa (The Global Competitiveness Report 2017/2018) Morocco has become a very important location especially for the French, Spanish but also Chinese Automotive Industry. The new harbor of Tanger strengthens the position of the country as an important logistic hub.

Market transparency and buyers missions

Due to the current lack of partnership between the German industry and Moroccan companies, the BME aims to develop the capacities of the Moroccan companies with its program, in order to make them ready for the German market.
Within the next three years the BME together with its partners the Euro-Mediterranean-Arab Association ( EMA e.V.), the Moroccan Automotive Association AMICA, the Exporters Association ASMEX and the Procurement Association AMCA, will organize seminars, trainings and trade fair participations for Moroccan suppliers and German buyer’s.
The program which takes place over the next three years is financed by the German Ministry for Collaboration and Development (BMZ).

An ideal opportunity, to get an impression of the development in the county, would be at the 8th German-Moroccan Economic Forum, hosted by the EMA together with its partner organizations BME in Germany, as well as AMCA, AMICA and ASMEX in Morocco. The focus of this forum lies on logistics, industry and free trade zones and will take place in the cities Casablanca, Rabat, Kenitra and Tangier from the 24th to the 28th of June 2018.
