Russian Purchasing Initiative is speeding up
The Russian Purchasing Initiative brings together strong partners: in St. Petersburg, the East Committee, BME and AHK Russia signed a letter of intent with the Russian Export Center.
The Russian Purchasing Initiative, initiated by the East Committee of the German Economy (OA), BME and AHK in Moscow, is gaining momentum. A letter of intent was signed in collaboration with a representative of the Russian Export Center at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum (SPIEF). The signatories of the Memorandum of Understanding, Dr. Silvius Grobosch (BME Chief Executive Officer), Michael Harms (OA - Managing Director), Andrey Slepnev (General Director of the Russian Export Center) and Matthias Schepp (Chairman of AHK Russia), intend to equip Russian suppliers of goods and services with German help and make them part of the international supply chain.
At the 52nd Purchasing and Logistics Symposium in Berlin, the OA, the German Association of Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME) and the German-Russian Chamber of Foreign Trade (AHK) had already signed a first letter of intent on 8 November to implement a purchasing initiative under the title “Russia for the German economy”. “The common goal of the three associations now joined by the Russian Export Center is to bring together German companies, including their procurement interests, with selected and qualified Russian suppliers,” emphasised the BME Chief Executive, Dr. Silvius Grobosch.
