12th BME-eLÖSUNGSTAGE 2021 will take place in June

The BME is focusing on a high level of security and the best possible feasibility of the BME-eLÖSUNGSTAGE 2021, which is why the buyers' association is postponing the event to 8/9 June. The premiere location of the first BME live congress since the outbreak of the Covid 19 pandemic will be Düsseldorf's Areal Böhler.

Due to the current situation, the BME has decided to postpone the 12th BME-eLÖSUNGSTAGE to 8/9 June 2021. Originally, the event was to take place from 18 to 19 May 2021.
This year's eLÖSUNGSTAGE will take place in a new location. "We will be holding our first BME Live Congress since the outbreak of the Corona crisis in Düsseldorf's Areal Böhler for the first time," said BME CEO Dr Silvius Grobosch in Eschborn. The large halls and exhibition areas available in this industrial estate are not only suitable for holding the hybrid event with an associated trade fair. In fact, the Böhler site with its premises is a guarantee for compliance with all hygiene regulations, especially in Corona times. The motto of the 12th BME-eLÖSUNGSTAGE 2021 is: "Using the crisis as an innovation accelerator". Europe's leading non-profit trade association for supply chain, purchasing and logistics has deliberately chosen this theme. "After all, the Corona crisis clearly shows that there is still a high potential for digitalisation in purchasing," Grobosch continues. While digital tools are now being used intensively in operational procurement, strategic purchasing often still relies on analogue processes. According to Grobosch, the low compatibility of different IT programmes and systems as well as the lack of budget and the unwillingness for change are the main reasons for the still hesitant use of new e-solutions in the companies. But especially in supplier and risk management, eTools and cloud models are now of crucial importance to remain competitive in the future.
According to the BME, successfully implemented eProcurement concepts show that purchasing can significantly increase its performance with the right strategy and the appropriate support of suitable service providers. In order to better fulfil its role as an innovative pioneer of digital processes along the entire value and supply chain in the future, purchasing must make greater use of the opportunities associated with digitalisation and automation. The application of artificial intelligence and disruptive technologies should no longer be the exception for him, but the rule. Grobosch: "In 2021, there must be no more excuses for introducing and implementing a digital procurement strategy." The practical steps and solution approaches involved will be the focus of the 12th BME-eLÖSUNGSTAGE. Save the Date:
