With a series of exciting keynotes, new formats and best-practice lectures, the 54th BME Symposium Purchasing and Logistics offers a forum for innovative approaches and current discussion questions in purchasing, logistics and supply chain management. The Procurement Summit will take place in Berlin from 13 to 15 November. Among the keynote speakers are SAP-CPO Tamara Braun, Christian Lindner, FDP Federal Chairman, business philosopher Anders Indset, entrepreneur Carsten Maschmeyer and Dr. Antje von Dewitz, CEO of Vaude Sport.

The central event motto is #pacesetter. “We understand the slogan to mean pacesetters ensuring the success of the entire team independently of their own competitive success,” emphasizes Dr. Silvius Grobosch, Managing Director of the Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik e.V. (Federal Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics, BME). Purchasers, logisticians and supply chain managers are also pacesetters who, for example, set trends in the introduction of new digital technologies and procurement processes that others will be following. Grobosch: “With the right mindset they offer orientation and motivation for the team when it comes to staying ahead in the race for talents, resources, innovations and know-how.”

Participants in the BME Summit will have the opportunity to select the content that has the greatest impact on their day-to-day business. In addition, the approximately 2,000 visitors to the BME event at the Hotel Intercontinental will ensure intensive networking, in which more than 100 speakers and exhibitors will participate. In addition, the specialist congress will be used as a platform for benchmarking and discussion – across industries and at eye level with corporations and SMEs.

This year's three-day symposium will focus on six main topics. These include

  • Strategy 2025
  • People and Organization
  • Supply Networks
  • Managing risks
  • Business Analytics and
